My roots are West Philadelphia.

The philly area was home to many great Jazz artists that I had exposure to. I studied at the Settlement music school and also with some great mentors like Pat Martino. I studied piano and guitar initially. I studied at Central High School with Italo Taranta. Way back then there were no personal computers that could do music. We had to use real instruments and tape recorders. I predicted way back then what we have today. Electronically, we can keep the big bands alive. We can keep Jazz alive. We can keep the tremendous variation on instruments available, virtually. That's what I do. Enjoy my music.
